Your profile
- You hold a degree as a Steuerfachangestellte/r (tax clerk) or Steuerfachwirt/in (tax specialist) from a recognized institution, demonstrating a solid foundation in tax law and regulations.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience working in a tax consultancy firm or a tax office.
- You are proficient in tax software such as DATEV and Microsoft Office.
- You possess a strong drive for self-improvement and take ownership of your work, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
- You are committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- You have a structured and organised approach to your work, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- You are fluent in German & possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of tax matters, including income tax, corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, utilising tax software such as DATEV to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities, responding to inquiries, managing audits, and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimise clients’ tax exposure, taking into account their financial goals, business operations, and regulatory requirements, and providing proactive recommendations to optimise tax outcomes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and resource for all their tax-related needs, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction through responsive and personalised service.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing professional development and training.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders within the firm to share insights, exchange expertise, and coordinate efforts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client engagements, correspondence, and documentation.
